Sam and his older brother Michael are normal American teens with very common interests, like picking up girls and going out partying. However, after they and their mother move to a quiet town in California, things begin to change. Michael’s not acting like his old self, and nobody’s Mum would be happy with what he’s getting into at night. It’s not drugs, alcohol, fighting, or even a question of sexuality. Far from all of that, this behaviour is very rare indeed. The Lost Boys is a combination of ‘fingernail scratching blackboard’ fear, deep throaty laugher and a groovy rock’n’roll ride. Directed by Joel Schumacher, a host of great acting from Jason Patric, Jami Gertz, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Bernard Hughes and Edward Herrmann keeps you staked happily to your seat.
