Inspired by true events, The Blue Butterfly tells the tale of Pete, a ten year-old boy suffering from cancer. His greatest wish is to catch the most beautiful butterfly known, the rare and mythical blue morpho, found only in the tropical forests of Central and South America. Teresa, the young boy’s mother convinces famed entomologist Alan Osborn (Award winning, William Hurt) to bring them into the jungle in pursuit of the mysterious butterfly with wings the colour of sky.
